Support For Families in Basildon
With funding from Essex County Council we are able to offer free family support within the Basildon Area until August 2009. Our aim is to provide individual, couple, family, youth/child support in the form of counselling/play work/mediation from a venue within local communities. Services are available in some schools and Children\'s Centres. Please telephone 0845 0702315 and ask for Julie or Susanna for more information.

Breaking the Rules
With a successful bid to the Heritage Lottery Fund, The Family and Relationship Centre are researching, with a group of young people, the history of "teenagers" in Southend. Our project leader will be helping up to twenty, 15–18 year olds to learn interviewing and recording techniques in order to record sound archives and a visual history of the "mods" and "rockers". The project will culminate in a display at Southend Museum at the end of the year.
